Risk of Overheating Analysis

Reducing the risk of overheat to create a better environment for the building users, as well as reducing the building energy demand.

Today’s air tight, highly insulated buildings will retain a significant proportion of heat to improve energy efficiency. This is usually exactly what we want; however in the summer particularly, trapping the suns rays can sometimes present a risk of the building overheating. This creates uncomfortable environments for the occupants and inefficiencies based on the cooling required.

The IES-VE software we use will model the building to assess the potential risk of overheating in the summer months. Where such risks are identified, ERS will work with you to take appropriate measures to mitigate these risks and develop solutions for efficient comfortable temperature environments.

This analysis can be used to achieve BREEAM credit.

We have been using the services of ERS for many years now quite simply because they always deliver. Appointments are across their broad range of services from energy modelling, SAPs, BREEAM and Code for Sustainable Homes submissions. It is always a pleasure dealing with Ali, Iraj and their team, they always have a proactive professional approach and never let you down.
